The Program Director is a vital part of the year-round leadership team that is called to spark faith in Christ Jesus for the people of northwest North Dakota and northeast Montana.  Each member of the leadership team is called to be a disciple of Jesus Christ that is active in a local congregation.  And with knowledge that outdoor ministry is exhausting work, it is necessary to practice daily spiritual disciplines to allow the Holy Spirit to continue to refresh your soul and body for ministry. Here is a note from our newest team member, Elise:

"Hi everyone!  I am so excited to join the staff team at UMM and look forward to connecting with each of you. I grew up in Lake Park, MN and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with a degree in psychology. Two of my biggest passions in life are serving God and travel. I worked at Badlands Ministries for 4 summers while going to school and, after graduation, I chose adventure and moved to Hilo, Hawaii to enjoy and explore, and also work with the Pacific Quest Wilderness Therapy.

My adventurous spirit has taken me all over the world and I would love to share stories and hear from you as well. In my down time, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, and getting outside! I am so excited to bring my experiences with me and to start this grand new adventure, serving God and teaching others about His word."

It is an honor to partner with local families and faith communities to provide experiences that spark faith in Christ Jesus. We are excited to work alongside Elise and share the Good News with campers and communities!

Upper Missouri Ministries is located on 203 acres on the shores of Springbrook Dam. The shore line surrounds most of the camp site, which is on a peninsula nestled in the coulee bottom.

This is a perfect setting for kids and families to experience the Love and Grace of Jesus through time in creation and community that allows faith in Christ Jesus to be sparked.

Children (of all ages) are in need of a place to slow down and reconnect with nature and other people. And we all need to reconnect with the Love and Grace of God found in Jesus. Time at Camp UMM provides experiences in services, worship, study, and quiet time. Campers return to their homes, families, and communities with faith in Christ Jesus that is sparked and with tools that will allow them to weather the storms of life.
