Mission Statement
To provide Christ-centered outdoor ministry experiences for all ages.

Vision Statement
(In the year 2010,) Upper Missouri Ministries is the brand name of Christ-centered outdoor ministry that understands and embraces our responsibility in the MonDak region. We have a prioritized and specific master plan for our facilities that encompasses a residential site and an office/programming site in Williston that continues our dedication to year-round innovative programming for the entire region.

Our eight paid staff 1 and over 200 hundred annual volunteer staff provides the region with continuity in leadership, programming, and personal connection. We continue to evaluate and enhance our programming to meet the needs of the region with attention to physical, emotional, and spiritual safety.

We are in equal partnerships with our supportive congregations by offering year-round Christ-centered outdoor experiences for all ages and in turn they offer financial support. Our fundraising professional and volunteer staff have secured in excess of 1 million in endowment funds and enough funds to meet the annual budget.

Core Values:
Lutheran

Our foundation is based on a long-standing heritage that all are justified by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. Local Lutheran congregations established this ministry in 1943. Currently, 51 Lutheran congregations of North Dakota and Montana make up this organization. We are grateful for the individual and congregational relationships of ownership and commitment that are expressed through service and responsibility.

Safety:

We are dedicated to providing an atmosphere of emotional, physical and spiritual safety for all ages.

All-Embracing

This ministry understands and embraces the responsibility of offering Christ-centered experiences for all ages. We respectfully receive all of God’s children into a welcoming faith-led, spirit filled experience.

Christ-Centered
